Responsibilities
- Assist with operating and capital budget management, technical budget exercises, proposal evaluation, and impact estimates.
- Identify operational solutions and improve the efficiency of budget exercises and existing programs.
- Maintain MS Access and SQL databases, including creating and updating queries for management analysis.
- Run Oracle processes for bi-weekly payroll posting to the general ledger.
- Maintain Oracle Hyperion Planning and create or update Hyperion calculations, forms, and reports.
- Import and extract Hyperion data and troubleshoot ODI integrations between Hyperion and other systems.
- Provide technical support and SmartView assistance.
- Reconcile system data to maintain system integrity.
- Create technical training materials and conduct live training for internal and external departments.
- Maintain department web pages and convert Hyperion data for HUD EPIC reporting.
Requirements
- Permanent civil service status in the Computer Associate (Software) title is required for consideration.
- A baccalaureate degree including or supplemented by 24 computer science or related credits plus one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience; or a four-year high-school diploma or equivalent plus five years of such experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- All candidates must have at least a four-year high-school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience.
- Qualifying experience may include systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data communications, mainframe development, mobile development, or web development and design.
- Experience with Visual Basic, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications is required.
- NYCHA employees seeking transfer, promotional, title, or level changes must have served one year at their current location and in their current title and level, if applicable.
