Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale distributed cloud services with high availability, scalability, robustness, and observability.
- Lead project development across the organization and coordinate development and release plans with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle and production readiness of services.
- Drive software engineering best practices through code reviews, design reviews, and data- and telemetry-based service decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create cohesive end-to-end experiences for Microsoft customers.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to improve customer experience and product outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred experience designing and delivering highly available large-scale cloud services and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience with machine learning model development, release, and operations.
- Preferred knowledge of software architecture, design tradeoffs, and mature DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience using AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle in a disciplined manner.
- Experience in one or more of AI safety and governance platforms, inference and orchestration systems, AI evaluation and monitoring infrastructure, deployment automation and compliance tooling, multimodal safety infrastructure, or agent governance and control-plane capabilities.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $102,100-$202,200 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
