Base Salary
$195k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on high-throughput, low-latency recommendation systems.
- Improve retrieval, ranking, and multi-objective optimization for user engagement and content quality.
- Own systems from offline training to online inference and metric analysis.
- Identify and resolve data quality, model drift, and system performance issues.
- Apply LLMs to recommendation-related problems like content understanding and user intent modeling.
- Prototype quickly, validate with experiments, and push successful ideas into production.
- Embrace AI-assisted development workflows for coding and analysis.
- Contribute to AI-powered projects from early exploration to MVP and production.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in building machine learning or recommendation systems.
- Strong understanding of recommendation system fundamentals including ranking and user/item modeling.
- Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with large-scale data and ML systems such as Spark and real-time inference.
- Ability to own features end-to-end and deliver measurable business impact.
