Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
Contribute to the modernization and evolution of complex legacy systems.
Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and high performing.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards across teams.
Help shape long-term technology roadmaps and future architecture decisions.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE / Jakarta EE.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Experience with enterprise software architecture, solution design, legacy system modernization, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
Experience working in complex enterprise environments and with geographically distributed teams.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote working arrangement with initial 2–3 weeks of onboarding in Dresden and approximately quarterly one-week business travel to Dresden.
