Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for backend services and UI.
- Define and drive end-to-end test strategy across services and product features.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve testability and establish quality standards.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions with a focus on testability and reliability.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast feedback on changes.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, and regressions.
- Manage testing work across multiple concurrent projects in a changing startup environment.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in QA or software testing, including 2+ years at a senior or staff level.
- Have strong hands-on programming skills in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript for automation and tooling.
- Use AI tools in QA workflows for reviewing pull requests and design documents, writing test plans, and automating test cases, with appropriate human verification.
- Demonstrate ownership, strong communication, analytical and debugging skills, and the ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Have deep understanding of CI/CD systems and hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Have working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems, or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Bonus qualifications include experience testing tenant cluster or Tenant Isolation environments and owning QA at a startup during rapid growth.
