Responsibilities
- Analyze eight business applications and eight internal tooling applications hosted on Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Analyze backend stacks, REST APIs, integrations, data sources, and application data.
- Evaluate client deployment strategies on Kubernetes using ArgoCD.
- Design end-state architectures using AWS best practices across operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Create migration development roadmaps and strategies to move applications from GKE to AWS EKS with associated PostgreSQL databases.
- Design, develop, maintain, integrate, optimize, and troubleshoot web applications.
- Lead technical solution development and guide a team of developers through implementation.
- Communicate with clients to understand requirements and resolve application issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing web applications on AWS.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, API design, and architecture design.
- Experience with REST APIs, Docker, backend development, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, web services, and SQL.
- Mandatory knowledge of the Rust programming language.
- Knowledge of Actix-web, Rocket, or Warp for Rust API development and Diesel ORM.
- Ability to lead technical solution development from scratch and lead a development team.
- Knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine and migration of containerized workloads to AWS EKS is preferred.
- Experience designing application migration roadmaps and implementation strategies is preferred.
