Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and production code.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend components and develop distributed systems using Java.
  • Build RESTful and event-driven services using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and messaging or streaming systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and improve coding hygiene, application quality, and system architecture.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
  • Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and team practices for secure and resilient software delivery.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems using Java.
  • Experience building event-driven services with Spring Boot or Spring Cloud and using asynchronous messaging or streaming systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
