Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software.
- Build distributed systems and RESTful and event-driven microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Implement asynchronous communication using messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, system architecture, and application quality.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities while supporting application resiliency and security.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems using Java.
- Experience building RESTful and event-driven microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Knowledge of asynchronous communication using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging and streaming systems.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
