Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Build distributed systems and event-driven microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and messaging or streaming systems.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
  • Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Support application resiliency, operational stability, secure coding, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating and refining their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems using Java.
  • Experience building RESTful and event-driven microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous communication using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging or streaming systems.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
