Base Salary

$155k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable services for cloud video streaming, exports, and cloud video storage.
  • Design and implement high-performance APIs and backend services integrated into the Meraki Dashboard.
  • Develop AWS-based solutions focused on high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
  • Contribute across the full stack, including UI components and firmware interactions as needed.
  • Own services from design through deployment, including testing, instrumentation, and production observability.
  • Resolve complex production issues, lead post-mortems, and write root-cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and partner teams on requirements, architecture, and long-term roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Production experience with Go, TypeScript, or an equivalent statically typed language, plus a scripting language such as Ruby or Python.
  • Experience developing backend software, RESTful APIs, and relational databases.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
  • Preferred: full-stack experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Preferred: expertise in RTSP, HLS, or WebRTC video streaming protocols.
  • Preferred: advanced AWS experience with Lambda, SQS, and DynamoDB, plus Terraform infrastructure-as-code experience.
