Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead demanding cross-functional projects involving Inventory and Promise.
- Architect and design new microservices and machine learning pipelines.
- Decompose complex technical problems into straightforward, scalable solutions.
- Apply expert knowledge of performance, scalability, distributed architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and support career development across the technical community.
- Influence multiple teams and improve their productivity and effectiveness through technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of backend software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience with scalable distributed systems, machine learning algorithms, backend architecture, distributed systems, message-oriented architecture, fault-tolerant production systems, monitoring, stream processing, caching, storage, and horizontal scaling.
- Preferred: experience operationalizing software in large-scale, high-availability environments and working with eCommerce supply-chain inventory systems.
- Preferred: software development experience with Java, Scala, and Python, plus AWS experience.
