Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver complex, scalable frontend systems.
- Partner with Product Managers to define requirements and scope features.
- Lead technical decisions and delivery for medium-to-large scoped features.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
- Identify and resolve frontend bottlenecks, technical debt, and systemic issues.
- Drive React, TypeScript, and web performance best practices.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Backend Engineers on data flow and system reliability.
Requirements
- Deep software engineering specialization in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience architecting complex state management systems and adapting across state-management libraries.
- Ability to design maintainable systems that manage complexity effectively.
- Experience teaching peers and elevating engineering practices.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Deep understanding of web performance, browser internals, and optimization for data-heavy applications.
- Product-oriented judgment, including the ability to challenge requirements and propose better solutions.
- Preferred: experience with data visualization, analytics, large datasets, and heavy DOM manipulation.
- Preferred: portfolio, GitHub history, or technical writing demonstrating clean code and architectural problem-solving.
- Preferred: familiarity with Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, or ClickHouse.
