Responsibilities
- Build and operate Five9’s cloud-based AI platform, including compute, environments, networking, and runtime infrastructure.
- Provision and manage reproducible, reviewable, and auditable infrastructure with Terraform.
- Build and maintain delivery pipelines covering builds, tests, security gates, and deployments.
- Provide model and agent serving, evaluation, prompt and version management, and production LLM/agent runtime tooling.
- Build secure connectors, data pipelines, and integrations for AI solutions.
- Implement IAM, secrets, egress, policy-as-code, data-classification, and responsible-AI governance controls with information security.
- Create shared libraries, templates, and self-service tooling that enable builders to ship within platform guardrails.
- Instrument monitoring, logging, cost tracking, and SLOs while owning platform reliability and incident response.
- Partner with automation engineers, architects, platform and DevOps teams, information security, and business builders; document and support the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in platform, DevOps, infrastructure, or MLOps engineering, including hands-on operation of production cloud systems.
- Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud, infrastructure as code, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong CI/CD engineering experience, including automated testing and security gates.
- Experience operating ML, LLM, or data-intensive systems in production, including serving, evaluation, versioning, or agent runtime capabilities.
- Security engineering fundamentals involving IAM, secrets, network egress, policy as code, and enterprise governance.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, SLOs, and incident response.
- Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service paved roads is preferred.
- Experience with agent or LLM infrastructure, including orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, or model gateways, is preferred.
- Contact center or customer experience technology exposure and Google Cloud or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
- Familiarity with responsible-AI and model-risk controls at the platform level is preferred.
