Responsibilities
- Build, test, debug, document, and maintain high-quality software components and platform features.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable REST APIs and reusable modules.
- Contribute to software architecture, performance tuning, availability, and operational quality.
- Participate in code and documentation reviews and mentor team members on best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, operations, support, and peer organizations on technical issues.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates.
- Evaluate tools, technologies, and processes and troubleshoot complex code-level problems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience building APIs with Node.js or Python.
- Excellent knowledge of REST API standards and web services.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted design and implementations.
- Experience taking requirements through design and building reusable modules.
- Experience building, scaling, and performance-tuning REST APIs.
- Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and solving technical problems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale production systems, distributed asynchronous systems, AWS services, and SDLC best practices.
Benefits
- Canada-based starting base salary of $107,000 to $157,300, with offers based on experience and geographic location.
- Additional compensation may include annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
