Responsibilities
- Influence overall product strategy with product and design teams.
- Investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Build highly scalable, reliable, and available distributed services using AWS Cloud.
- Develop agentic APIs and cloud and device software solutions optimized for low latency, cost, reliability, and scale.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
- Contribute to operational excellence by identifying problems and proposing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems into Alexa’s core capabilities.
- Deliver high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
