Base Salary
$190k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship customer-facing APIs for new model capabilities from prototype through launch and ongoing iteration.
- Scale inference infrastructure to support more than 1 million API users.
- Partner with researchers to productionize new techniques with customer-ready latency, reliability, and ergonomics.
- Collaborate with customers and Applied teams to inform product design and research direction.
- Contribute to backend services, inference infrastructure, SDKs, and internal tooling as needed.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience, including building and supporting machine learning infrastructure and/or customer-facing production APIs.
- Genuine curiosity about AI/ML and the ability to understand model behavior well enough to make sound engineering decisions.
- Comfort operating amid ambiguity and changing research and product timelines.
- Strong collaboration skills across researchers, applied engineers, and customers.
