Base Salary
$204k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship AI features into Collibra’s live enterprise product rather than prototypes or internal-only tools.
- Build, instrument, and evaluate AI/ML models and production systems.
- Develop agent loops with state management, human-in-the-loop interrupts, checkpointing, and resumption.
- Help evolve Collibra’s AI platform architecture and mentor other engineers.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, MLOps Engineers, and cross-functional teams to take AI products from prototype to production.
- Operate AI/ML features in production and help steer the future product roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and running production systems, including 3+ years applying data science or ML in production.
- Experience with LLM applications, RAG, NLP, or recommendation engines.
- Hands-on experience with agent-loop frameworks such as LangGraph and tool-calling standards such as MCP.
- Experience designing agent harnesses with sandboxed code execution, tool permissioning, and safely orchestrated autonomous actions.
- Experience with agent evaluation frameworks that test tool-calling behavior and agent trajectories.
- Strong observability instincts and experience diagnosing silent or no-output failures.
- Experience with hybrid semantic and keyword retrieval, rank fusion, and precision/recall tradeoffs.
- Experience building stateless services at scale with multi-replica deployments, concurrent requests, and no sticky sessions.
- Comfort with SQL and relational databases, plus familiarity with time-series, graph, or vector databases.
- Strong command of modern Python typing and validation with Pydantic v2 and production AI tooling such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, product judgment, and mentoring abilities.
