Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data, features, training, tuning, validation, and related modeling considerations.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional teams to build software for big data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or use cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct data pipelines for training and serving ML models.
- Apply deployment automation, testing, monitoring, governance, and Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
- Use Python, Scala, or Java and other programming languages to develop ML solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray for AI or ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for containerized ML systems.
- Preferred: master’s or doctoral degree in a related field.
- Preferred: experience optimizing ML algorithms, configurations, infrastructure, production software, data pipelines, deployment strategies, monitoring, and incident response.
- Preferred: experience with supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; common model architectures; training concepts; and model evaluation and diagnosis.
- Preferred: at least 1 year as a technical lead developing ML solutions.
- Preferred: authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept.
