Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Build and scale multi-tenant platforms for large-scale ML model training and serving.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions using knowledge of modeling techniques, data, features, training, tuning, validation, and bias/variance.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Retrain, maintain, monitor, and operate production ML models and services.
- Build cloud-based architectures, ML platforms, and optimized data pipelines at scale.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, monitoring, model governance, and responsible and explainable AI practices.
- Use Python, Scala, or Java and collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional Agile teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 6 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- At least 6 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
- At least 4 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production and cloud production services using AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or doctoral degree in a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include at least 5 years optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, applying software development practices, building resilient production systems, working with ML techniques and architectures, and scaling production-ready ML data pipelines.
- ML industry impact through conference presentations, papers, blog posts, open-source contributions, or patents is preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and machine learning concepts clearly to varied audiences.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $209,000-$238,500 in Plano or Richmond, $229,900-$262,400 in McLean, and $250,800-$286,200 in New York.
