Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java- and Python-based trading and analytics software.
- Lead technical decisions, mentor developers, remove engineering blockers, and partner with engineering managers.
- Provide hands-on direction for full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, and integration services.
- Design and implement Java microservices, REST APIs, front-end applications, and integration services.
- Create proofs of concept, demonstrations, and prototypes to evaluate emerging technologies and engineering patterns.
- Establish standards for scalable design, code quality, automated testing, peer reviews, deployment, security, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate technical priorities and dependencies with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, vendors, and engineering teams.
- Improve production support through incident triage, root-cause analysis, observability, recovery patterns, and reliability improvements.
- Guide design reviews, code reviews, technical problem solving, implementation, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related software engineering or technology delivery experience, including demonstrated technical leadership guiding engineering teams through complex application delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience leading full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, platform modernization, integration services, and production enhancements.
- Hands-on or technical leadership experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Data, REST APIs, microservices, Angular or React, SQL, relational databases, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Hands-on Python application development experience with Pandas, Django, Flask, and Pytest.
- Strong knowledge of full-stack software engineering, application architecture, API design, enterprise integration patterns, application security, performance, resiliency, and scalable digital products.
- Experience with software engineering standards, compliance, auditability, performance optimization, production readiness, incident triage, root-cause analysis, observability, and operational readiness.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, peer review, collaboration, and influence skills, including influencing without direct authority.
- Knowledge of automated CI/CD processes, DevOps methodology, and AI-assisted development tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Artifactory, and GitHub Copilot.
