Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk-management needs.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using full-stack technologies, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and performance improvements.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contributions, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience, API development, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code experience, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, observability, mentoring, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
