Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk management needs.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based, AI-powered solutions in collaboration with product managers, architects, and cross-functional partners.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by establishing standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices while influencing long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, frontend framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, mentoring, observability, and leadership of cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.

- Full-time annual salary varies by location, with listed ranges of $197,300-$225,100 in McLean, VA and $215,200-$245,600 in New York, NY; the role may also include performance-based incentive compensation.
