Responsibilities
- Build and operate a dedicated AWS environment for internal, non-customer-facing applications using S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Own source control, versioning, releases, rollbacks, deployment, and monitoring for internal applications.
- Define and enforce role-based access tiers through Okta and maintain the internal application inventory.
- Assess application data exposure and access risk, own vulnerability remediation, and manage patching, credential rotation, cost reviews, and access reviews.
- Develop and maintain internal applications and make keep, migrate, or retire decisions for inherited applications.
- Define integration standards, including the use of MCP, and build reusable integrations between internal applications and systems of record.
- Partner with AI Enablement and AI champions on tool hosting and report on application estate health, vulnerabilities, and migration progress.
- Build working depth in Workato, BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, and Tableau while supporting systems with single owners.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development or cloud infrastructure experience with hands-on production ownership of an AWS environment.
- Practical experience with AWS managed services including S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Experience implementing SSO and identity-based access control at the edge, ideally with Okta.
- Strong fundamentals in source control, environments, versioning, rollback, and documentation.
- Experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment, including audit trails, sensitive-data handling, and scheduled vulnerability closure.
- Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems through APIs and enough familiarity with MCP to evaluate vendor implementations.
- Sound judgment in selecting vendor or open-source solutions over custom development when appropriate.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Workato, or governed low-code builders is preferred.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
