Responsibilities

  • Own functional, performance, and scalability improvements for data-plane data management capabilities.
  • Own features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services using containers and distributed-systems principles.
  • Drive automated testing, code reviews, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across storage, networking, cloud infrastructure, security, observability, and customer-facing engineering teams.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement reliability and scalability improvements.
  • Translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions with product, architecture, and partner teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts, design tradeoffs, and project status to organizational stakeholders.
  • Support team growth through knowledge sharing, code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management systems and storage platforms across varied workloads and environments.
  • 5+ years in technical leadership positions.
  • Experience with cloud-scale distributed systems spanning storage, networking, cloud infrastructure, and user experience.
  • Ability to contribute across development, automated validation, performance, operational readiness, and service reliability.
  • Programming language experience and willingness to incorporate AI-native engineering practices.
