Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed delivery teams.
Modernise and evolve complex legacy systems while maintaining scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and distributed teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices, architectural standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE/Jakarta EE.
Expertise in database design and development, particularly PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and enterprise application delivery.
Experience leading legacy-system modernisation and working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with geographically distributed technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote work after initial onboarding, with 2–3 weeks onsite in Dresden and approximately one week of travel to Dresden each quarter.
