Base Salary
$128k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build real-time, high-throughput trading and market-data platforms for Global Liquid Markets.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for low-latency, event-driven, API-first architectures.
- Guide architecture decisions, engineering standards, design reviews, and technical trade-off discussions.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, solution engineers, enterprise architecture, and other squads.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and coaching.
- Apply modern engineering practices including automated testing, observability, and AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in an agile environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend development.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, including Lambda, Fargate, and Step Functions.
- Experience designing and consuming REST and event-driven APIs and working with data platforms such as Snowflake and ingestion pipelines.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, low-latency architectures, resilient design, and fault tolerance.
- Experience in fast-paced, regulated financial-services environments; institutional trading, execution, order-management, or market-data experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- CFA or progress toward CFA is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, facilitation, influence, architecture, security, privacy, and enterprise engineering skills.
