Responsibilities
- Define the backend architectural roadmap in partnership with leadership.
- Lead the design and review of low-latency, multi-tenant distributed systems.
- Establish and refine engineering standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute engineering initiatives.
- Act as a high-level escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Mentor staff and foster a culture of technical curiosity and improvement.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on backend architecture.
- Proven experience with high-scale, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Mastery of at least one modern backend programming language.
- Deep expertise with major cloud providers and containerization tools.
- Experience in driving technical strategy within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Strong proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
