Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications using React.js, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, Kafka, and relational databases.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions for business and data-processing requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, estimates, and technical recommendations.
- Build reusable components, application frameworks, and shared services.
- Analyze system impacts, dependencies, and risks while collaborating with architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues across user interfaces, middleware, messaging platforms, and databases; monitor performance and participate in on-call and incident-management activities.
- Develop unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to application deployment, disaster recovery, high availability, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead a team of Data Engineering associates and collaborate with global technology teams across time zones.
Requirements
- Strong experience building web applications with React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing event-driven architecture with Kafka and using Python for automation, data processing, or backend services.
- Advanced SQL development and database design experience with Oracle and Netezza.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and working with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, incident-management, and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Financial-services, banking, risk, treasury, forecasting, or regulatory-reporting experience is highly desirable.
