Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications for finance model execution and enterprise data platforms.
- Build React-based user interfaces and Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python backend services.
- Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, event-driven solutions, reusable components, application frameworks, and shared services.
- Analyze requirements, assess system impacts and risks, provide estimates, and develop technical designs and implementation strategies.
- Troubleshoot production issues across user interfaces, middleware, messaging platforms, and databases; monitor performance and support incident management and on-call rotations.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to security, reliability, maintainability, disaster recovery, high availability, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, business and IT stakeholders, and global teams across time zones.
- Lead a team of Data Engineering associates and contribute to Agile ceremonies, release activities, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong experience building web applications with React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing event-driven architecture with Kafka and using Python for automation, data processing, or backend services.
- Advanced SQL development and database design experience with Oracle and Netezza.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, incident management, root cause analysis, and stakeholder partnership skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in financial services, banking, risk, treasury, forecasting, or regulatory reporting is highly desirable.
