Responsibilities
- Translate business and user requirements into detailed systems designs, technical specifications, algorithms, and software solutions.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain software code and information systems.
- Acquire and install system environments, create and test databases, prepare test procedures and files, code and compile programs, and conduct test readiness reviews.
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Perform proofs of concept, oversee pre-deployment testing, troubleshoot program logic and data errors, and recommend or escalate corrections.
- Prepare and execute production implementations, deployment and release management activities, and post-implementation reviews.
- Support production code sets and implementations in accordance with defined service-level agreements.
- Document development procedures and write task descriptions for operating and maintaining implemented solutions.
- Consult with internal clients and collaborate with Platform Specialists, developers, IT programmers, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
- Extended knowledge of multi-technology application design, development and platform engineering, automation tooling, source code repositories, CI/CD, and deployment and release management.
- Ability to assess complete application environments, including hardware platforms, applications, databases, operating systems, and storage.
- Extended software development and support experience, including programming and development in Agile environments such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Extended experience deploying software solutions to clients in an outsourced or similar IT environment.
- Experience working across multiple teams and geographies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, planning, communication, stakeholder-management, client-centricity, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles and ability to improve methodologies, processes, tools, and internal effectiveness.
- Relevant DevOps, Agile, cloud-platform, scripting, and programming-language certifications are preferred.
