Responsibilities
- Own and contribute to architecture and development of enterprise Java applications.
- Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed development teams.
- Modernize legacy forensic systems and develop new enterprise platforms.
- Develop full-stack applications across client and server components.
- Design and optimize backend services, data models, integrations, and high-performance processing logic.
- Define software architecture and apply object-oriented design, design patterns, modularization, and clean-code practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated build and release processes, and containerized environments.
- Perform testing, performance profiling, JVM tuning, optimization, and production stability improvements.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, architecture, business, and IT stakeholders.
- Support team mobilization, onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer across distributed delivery centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of enterprise Java development and DevOps experience.
- Proven experience in software architecture and hands-on development.
- Experience with Java 11 or Java 17, Java EE or Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, PostgreSQL, and WildFly Application Server.
- Experience with JPA, Hibernate, JPQL, CriteriaBuilder, Git-based workflows, Azure DevOps, Docker, Maven, and Eclipse Tycho.
- Knowledge of enterprise software architecture, object-oriented development, clean code, design patterns, modularization, legacy-system evolution, and backend engineering.
- Experience working in regulated or complex operational environments such as forensics or LIMS is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, collaboration, attention to detail, flexibility, and customer-service skills.
