Base Salary
$120k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed at client headquarters and logistics hubs to map processes, audit supply chain data, identify bottlenecks, and quantify ROI.
- Design, prototype, and scale mathematical supply chain models for mode mix planning, bin-packing, container payload balancing, safety stock, and supplier consolidation.
- Lead solution design across order and shipment management, transportation planning, data integration, workflow automation, and operational analytics.
- Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and core engineering teams to turn models into production workflows in Flexport Control Tower and Workflows.
- Develop client proposals, present ROI projections, and communicate data-driven recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Manage 90-day deployment sprints, including roadmaps, data pipelines, risk mitigation, delivery, and measurable impact.
- Validate models with frontline operations teams and drive adoption in live logistics workflows.
- Monitor financial and environmental project impact and convert field insights into reusable playbooks and platform features.
Requirements
- BA/BS or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain management or consulting, logistics engineering, freight forwarding, or product management.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau.
- Ability to build mathematical decision-support models, reason about end-to-end physical dependencies, and work with imperfect enterprise data.
- Experience managing technical program workstreams from problem definition and prototyping through delivery, risk management, adoption, and impact measurement.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder influence, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex workflows.
- Willingness to work hands-on at ports, warehouses, and client logistics hubs.
- Preferred experience or certifications include Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, SCRUM, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Preferred expertise includes global freight forwarding, customs compliance, TMS/WMS software, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan, or trade finance.
- Experience in high-growth technology startups, top-tier management or supply chain consulting firms, or product management environments is a plus.
