Responsibilities
- Lead technical decision-making and architecture design for international core systems with high performance, availability, concurrency, security, and scalability requirements.
- Design and oversee complex system architectures while maintaining quality through hands-on coding, performance evaluation, and optimization.
- Architect and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot and establish reusable technical frameworks.
- Build and maintain backend systems for JD.com’s international operation centres and integrate them across global infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks involving monitorability, maintainability, grey releases, and rollback capabilities.
- Research and promote technologies and methodologies that strengthen global architectures and the team’s technical capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and improve collaboration and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of backend development experience with strong Java expertise, including JVM fundamentals, concurrency, multithreading, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing architectures for large-scale e-commerce platforms; international systems experience is preferred.
- Strong server-side architecture knowledge, including MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and distributed systems in high-availability and high-concurrency environments.
- Strong coding standards, analytical and problem-solving abilities, learning ability, and a proactive mindset.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience and effective communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Preferred experience in large-scale e-commerce companies, supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, or marketing systems, and UK or European business operations.
