Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve Kubernetes platforms, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, bare-metal provisioning, CNI networking, storage, autoscaling, and disaster recovery planning.
- Operate and scale the on-prem observability platform using Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Grafana, OpenTelemetry Collector, and Alertmanager.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines, ArgoCD deployments, Artifactory integrations, reusable CI components, and secrets integrations.
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and self-service tooling.
- Onboard trading desks and development teams, provide platform support, write runbooks, and contribute to documentation.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Deep production experience operating Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle, troubleshooting, networking, storage, and RBAC.
- Production experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting, plus familiarity with Mimir, Loki, Tempo, or Thanos and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar GitOps tools; CI/CD pipelines; and artifact management platforms.
- Experience using Terraform and/or Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, including systemd, networking, storage, and performance troubleshooting.
- Programming experience with Go or Python and ability to work with YAML and Helm charts.
- Ability to communicate directly with trading desks and development teams and explain Kubernetes concepts to non-experts.
- Preferred qualifications include trading-firm experience, Kubeflow or Airflow experience, advanced Kubernetes networking, Kafka or event-streaming experience, on-premises infrastructure experience, and interest in AI-assisted operational tooling.
