Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously enhance digital manufacturing and quality solutions across asset delivery, asset performance, engineering fundamentals, and training and knowledge management.
- Own one or more digital products, including the roadmap, backlog, technical architecture, technical support, releases, and full lifecycle.
- Mature validated prototypes and proof-of-value solutions into production-grade, scalable deployments across global Lilly manufacturing sites.
- Lead site onboarding, configuration, change management, training, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Triage production issues, perform root cause analysis, deliver fixes, and manage change and release processes.
- Write, review, and maintain production-quality Python code and uphold development, code review, and version control standards.
- Build analytics, monitoring, and visualization capabilities with Seeq and Power BI.
- Use approved AI platforms to accelerate development and create agent skills, prompts, retrieval-augmented patterns, and automated workflows.
- Define and ensure reliable, governed IT, OT, and ET data requirements and flows with data leads.
- Ensure solutions comply with validated-system, data-integrity, GMP, documentation, and AI-governance requirements.
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in manufacturing capacity, resilience, compliance, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering or science field.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated software development experience and strong working knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of manufacturing datasets and experience accessing and using IT, OT, and ET data sources.
- Experience using data to solve problems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with validated systems.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or GMP industry.
- Preferred experience building solutions with Seeq and Power BI, including advanced analytics, asset frameworks, data modeling, DAX, monitoring, and dashboards.
- Preferred experience owning production digital solutions, including roadmap, backlog, technical support, and lifecycle management.
- Preferred experience supporting and continuously enhancing production digital solutions.
- Preferred experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools to build agent skills, prompts, and automated workflows.
- Familiarity with Aveva PI, OPC UA, MQTT, historian or SCADA systems, Databricks, and SQL or relational data stores.
- Experience in solution areas such as intralogistics monitoring, audit trails, condition-based maintenance, equipment health, troubleshooting, qualification, capital workflows, or engineering knowledge management.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate between manufacturing engineering, IT/OT, and software development teams.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and global manufacturing sites.
