Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery of cloud platform products for agentic workloads from design through release and ongoing operation.
- Define the architecture, technical vision, standards, governance guardrails, and long-term evolution of scalable Google Cloud and GKE platform capabilities.
- Build reusable services, libraries, templates, paved paths, automation, self-service workflows, APIs, and developer experience improvements.
- Lead delivery practices including CI/CD, progressive delivery, infrastructure as code, GitOps, testing strategy, release standards, and delivery health improvements.
- Contribute hands-on code to complex and critical-path work while removing blockers and mentoring engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical coaching.
- Partner with reliability, security, architecture, product, and consuming teams on SLOs, observability, incident response, security, compliance, cost, and operational readiness.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies for AI infrastructure, LLM gateways, agent runtimes, MCP/tool integration, model serving, vector databases, and orchestration.
- Lead architecture and technical reviews, influence enterprise technical direction, and support highly available 24x7 retail operations.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience; 8+ years is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Mastery of an object-oriented programming language, preferably Go, with deep Golang expertise preferred.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and delivering distributed cloud-native systems.
- Production experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, including GKE.
- Experience leading architecture, technical decisions, and delivery across multiple applications or teams.
- Expertise preferred in Google Cloud services including GKE, IAM, Networking, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Load Balancing, and Security.
- Deep experience preferred with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, IaC, GitOps, automation, CI/CD, and progressive delivery.
- Experience preferred building platforms for agentic AI workloads, including LLM gateways, agent runtimes, model serving, MCP integration, orchestration layers, and vector databases.
- Strong observability experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, tracing, logging, SLOs, and alerting.
- Experience with cloud security, identity, secrets management, network policy, governance controls, enterprise architecture reviews, and highly available production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and align engineering, product, architecture, security, and operations stakeholders.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
