Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software features and system improvements from concept through deployment.
- Define architecture decisions for backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure systems to support scalability and performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure software engineering best practices for testing, code quality, maintainability, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for an efficient engineering workflow.
- Support Agile sprint planning, estimation, and iterative delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED and 12+ years of relevant experience.
- 4+ additional years of software and application development experience.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening.
- Knowledge of classified and unclassified system architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong software and application implementation and deployment experience.
- Microsoft .NET programming skills and modern web frontend development skills using HTML, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks or libraries.
- Strong relational database skills and familiarity with 508/accessibility requirements.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms, CI/CD practices, and DevSecOps.
