Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Solve ambiguous business problems and translate them into well-designed technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, launch, and own highly available backend systems handling large data volumes.
  • Apply design patterns, data structures, and algorithms to build systems at Amazon scale.
  • Build and maintain Human Machine Interfacing Platforms for warehouse automation.
  • Develop domain knowledge in fulfillment operations, material handling equipment, and industrial control systems.
  • Mentor others or lead technical design and engineering efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred: experience designing large-scale distributed systems incorporating cloud and edge computing.
  • Preferred: experience with material handling equipment, industrial control systems, industrial networking protocols, or fulfillment operations.
