Responsibilities
- Design, own, and lead development of high-performance Kong AI Gateway components using Golang.
- Influence technical roadmaps and architecture for scalable, resilient systems.
- Architect solutions that prevent technical debt and support 99.99% uptime and reliability.
- Mentor and guide engineers while promoting technical excellence and collaboration.
- Drive best practices in testing, observability, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, SRE, and engineering teams on developer experience.
- Investigate complex technical issues and system-performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- Extensive professional software-development experience with a systems language such as Golang or Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservice architectures, and API design principles.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML infrastructure, including LLM orchestration, vector databases, or model serving.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, HTTP/2, and gRPC.
- Preferred experience includes open-source contributions, Nginx, Lua, service mesh technologies, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, API gateways, developer platforms, or large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service products.
