Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered customer-facing capabilities across React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and shared contracts.
- Own features from product definition and system design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operation.
- Design secure APIs, authorization rules, data models, and backward-compatible migrations.
- Build asynchronous and realtime workflows using queues, pub/sub, jobs, schedules, and WebSockets.
- Develop enterprise integrations using OAuth, webhooks, external APIs, rate-limit handling, and vendor-failure recovery.
- Protect tenant boundaries and validate untrusted input across HTTP, sockets, queues, and AI tool execution.
- Build, deploy, and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Diagnose production behavior using logs, traces, metrics, databases, and message brokers.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, AI, and platform engineers while independently driving execution.
- Evolve engineering practices as AI changes software design and development.
Requirements
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals and production experience with React and Node.js.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, customer-facing features end to end with measurable product impact.
- Strong SQL and relational data-modeling skills, including transactions, indexes, and migrations.
- Experience with asynchronous or distributed systems, including queues, pub/sub, WebSockets, retries, and idempotency.
- Sound judgment regarding APIs, schemas, and backward compatibility.
- Strong security experience involving multi-tenant authorization, credentials, uploads, and external input.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Product judgment and comfort working with limited specification or process overhead.
- High ownership of reliability and customer outcomes after software ships.
- Mandatory hands-on AI Development Lifecycle experience shipping software with AI across discovery, design, implementation, testing, review, documentation, and production debugging.
- Ability to validate AI-generated work, define evaluations and regression criteria, manage context, and address nondeterminism, hallucinations, latency, cost, privacy, and security.
- Ability to design reliable AI execution paths involving prompts, structured outputs, agents, tools, approvals, schemas, authorization, retries, observability, and failure recovery.
- Experience with Python, FastAPI, AI agent runtimes, MCP, enterprise integrations, or direct AWS infrastructure is valuable but not required.
