Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across major cloud providers and self-hosted environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using GitOps tooling.
- Build Kubernetes operators and custom automation solutions in Go and Python.
- Lead CI/CD implementation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using observability tools including OpenTelemetry.
- Participate in the DevOps on-call rotation of approximately two shifts per month.
- Design scalable and resilient architecture solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Establish infrastructure management and security best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical project leadership.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or a similar role.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience in Go and/or Python.
- Strong experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, and Terraform.
- Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Concourse.
- Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices, including the Prometheus Stack and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong Linux/Unix systems administration skills.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Preferred experience with microservices architecture, database administration, message brokers, event streaming, service meshes, GitOps workflows, open-source contributions, technical project leadership, and mentoring.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
