Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across major cloud providers and self-hosted environments.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using GitOps tooling.
  • Build Kubernetes operators and custom automation solutions in Go and Python.
  • Lead CI/CD implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using observability tools including OpenTelemetry.
  • Participate in the DevOps on-call rotation of approximately two shifts per month.
  • Design scalable and resilient architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
  • Establish infrastructure management and security best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical project leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or a similar role.
  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience in Go and/or Python.
  • Strong experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, and Terraform.
  • Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Concourse.
  • Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices, including the Prometheus Stack and OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong Linux/Unix systems administration skills.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Preferred experience with microservices architecture, database administration, message brokers, event streaming, service meshes, GitOps workflows, open-source contributions, technical project leadership, and mentoring.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
