Base Salary
$181k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement VCL language extensions and new compiler features.
- Rework parsing and AST for improved maintainability.
- Refactor and modularize the existing compiler codebase.
- Own the testing and validation pipeline for compiler changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture and technical direction.
- Write clear technical documentation for internal and external users.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Significant production experience writing C in POSIX/Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of compiler internals including parsing and code generation.
- Experience in simplifying and refactoring established codebases.
- Track record of comprehensive testing practices and CI/CD.
- Good written communication skills for technical documentation.
- Collaborative mindset with experience in cross-functional teamwork.
