Responsibilities
- Lead domain-level technical initiatives and resolve complex technical problems while contributing hands-on code and high-level architecture.
- Own technical direction and architecture across the Talent Profile, Company Profile, and Salary Products engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers and product and engineering leaders to align technical quality, delivery, and domain goals.
- Drive technical alignment, engineering maturity, architectural health, security health, and innovation across the domain and wider Chapter.
- Mentor engineers, lead the engineering community, and serve as a technical escalation point for issues and challenges.
Requirements
- Staff-level software engineering background with deep expertise in .NET, Java, TypeScript, and React.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, production-grade systems using A/B testing.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems on AWS or a similar platform, including secure development, data protection, compliance, and enterprise architecture.
- Strong modern frontend expertise covering component architecture, design systems, responsive design, accessibility, and client-side state management.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise/SaaS web platforms, microservices, micro-frontends, performance optimization, API integration, and service scalability and resilience.
- Expertise in LLM-powered web system design, including state, caching, guardrails, and observability.
- Strong communication skills for mentoring engineers and setting technical direction across teams.
