Responsibilities
- Develop real-time, high-performance microservices supporting rates and credit trading workflows.
- Design and deliver full-stack solutions in collaboration with front-end engineers.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver workflow improvements.
- Promote engineering best practices in distributed systems, testing, CI/CD, code quality, code reviews, and architecture.
- Contribute to fixed-income platform modernization, technology strategy, and adoption of modern tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- Proven experience building complex, high-performance applications with modern Java, including concurrency, memory management, and reactive programming models.
- Deep experience with modern front-end tooling such as Vite, Nx, and Playwright, plus low-latency event-driven UIs handling large and rapidly changing datasets.
- Experience with WebSockets, SSE, Rx, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and technologies such as Solace, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying APIs, with knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
- Familiarity with deploying production services using Kubernetes and containerization/orchestration platforms.
- Track record of advancing engineering excellence through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.
