Responsibilities
- Lead impactful projects across multiple teams and locations.
- Drive software architecture and systems forward, setting long-term direction.
- Develop software hands-on and establish high-quality standards.
- Define boundaries, APIs, and integrations for technical and business success.
- Solve complex engineering problems in scalable distributed systems.
- Execute large-scale projects, leading design and planning efforts.
- Identify broader problems and opportunities for system improvements.
- Mentor and coach individuals and teams across the company.
- Advise leadership on technical strategy and participate in strategic planning.
- Continuously drive improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of programming experience, with mastery in software development (Java preferred).
- Advanced expertise in designing and operating large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Experience with continuous delivery principles and layered test automation.
- High standards for software quality and experience improving legacy systems.
- Strong judgment and ability to drive critical decisions pragmatically.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
