Responsibilities
- Develop scalable and robust software solutions for medical applications using full-stack development principles.
- Design, implement, and maintain UI and rendering components for complex applications.
- Decouple UI layers from graphics and rendering code to improve modularity and maintainability.
- Implement and optimize rendering solutions using modern graphics APIs.
- Apply medical image processing and visualization techniques.
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, systems engineers, and software engineers.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rendering, UI, and performance issues in production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of professional experience designing and implementing complex software components.
- Strong hands-on experience with SDL, CUDA, Vulkan, and OpenGL.
- Expertise in scene rendering and graphics pipeline development.
- Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy rendering or UI architectures.
- Proven ability to deliver complex systems from design through deployment.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or another compiled language.
- Production software development experience in Python is preferred.
- Proficiency with image-processing algorithms and libraries such as OpenCV and ITK.
- Deep understanding of UI/UX principles for graphics-driven applications.
- Knowledge of robotic systems and experience with machine learning or deep learning for medical-image segmentation, registration, or classification.
- Experience with medical image visualization tools and algorithm development is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
