Responsibilities
- Build and ship secure, optimized, production-grade software using AI-enabled engineering workflows.
- Design and orchestrate scalable systems in which AI agents integrate into human workflows.
- Maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI operation.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Lead architectural strategy and technical direction for the Event Technology and public websites portfolio.
- Plan, design, and implement highly scalable solutions aligned with current and future business needs.
- Collaborate with architects, lead engineers, product managers, UX professionals, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in deployments, monitoring, incident management and response, vendor oversight, and ongoing operational ownership.
- Mentor engineers and help improve their understanding and use of AI engineering tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software systems.
- Demonstrated AI-first engineering approach, including daily use of tools such as Claude and Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and experience cultivating reliable, secure, production-ready system context.
- Proven technical leadership experience spanning architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems.
- Strong service ownership expertise, including observable, resilient systems and proactive issue prevention.
- Experience mentoring software engineers and supporting their technical growth.
- Front-end and back-end development experience, preferably with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Sass.
- Experience building high-scale microservices on AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.
- Experience consuming and ideally building GraphQL and RESTful APIs, with strong API security knowledge.
- Preferred experience with mobile and cross-platform/browser test automation.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake, Google Analytics, and configuring CDNs such as Akamai.
- Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver strong user experiences.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
