Responsibilities
- Partner with customers, product partners, and team members to understand workflows and translate needs into technical deliverables.
- Build applied AI capabilities for automation, document intelligence, decision support, fraud intelligence, and intelligent assistants.
- Implement context-aware agentic systems that orchestrate tools, APIs, reasoning steps, and business logic.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, and improve production software and reusable enterprise components.
- Evaluate build-versus-reuse opportunities involving agents, models, APIs, and platform capabilities.
- Write unit tests, validate acceptance criteria, and apply coding, documentation, and testing standards.
- Perform impact analysis across applications and troubleshoot production issues.
- Lead code reviews, review designs and documentation, and mentor less experienced software engineers.
- Participate in talent selection, continuous learning, sprint commitments, Agile practices, and an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum five years of software engineering experience or comparable depth of experience.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled systems, including LLM-powered applications, agentic and tool-based workflows, prompt and context engineering patterns, model integration, and evaluation.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, CI/CD, version control, and disciplined development workflows.
- Strong understanding and use of one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
- Practical experience with data modeling, design, and messaging.
- Experience with mission-critical enterprise-class applications.
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
- Preferred advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Preferred experience building generative AI capabilities in production or production-like environments.
- Preferred experience with reliability, observability, evaluation, guardrails, or compliance for AI-enabled systems.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
