Base Salary

$122k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy scalable backend services and APIs for global brands.
  • Translate incomplete or ambiguous specifications into requirements, tasks, stories, and estimates.
  • Participate in system, schema, and pipeline design and advise on architecture and infrastructure decisions.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and systems and design service contracts for frontend and other services.
  • Conduct code reviews, surface risks and blockers, and advocate for testing, security, performance, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders and contribute to demos and presentations.
  • Apply AI and agentic capabilities to client work and develop reusable templates, prototypes, and guidance.
  • Share technical knowledge internally and externally through Slack, brown bags, training, articles, or talks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and maintaining production-level backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs and third-party systems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend development, preferably Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider; Google Cloud is preferred, with AWS or Azure also accepted.
  • Daily real-world use of GenAI productivity tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, or Codex.
  • Working understanding of core LLM concepts and appropriate use cases.
  • Fluency with Git, Agile processes, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Ability to research independently, ask for help appropriately, and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include mentoring junior engineers, exposure to agent development frameworks, and contributions to open source, technical writing, or conference speaking.
