Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of secure, scalable microservices and APIs, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational reliability.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot services on Google Cloud Platform using services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Apigee.
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs connecting customer mobile applications, dealership service systems, and in-vehicle digital displays.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code automation using GitHub, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Tekton, and Terraform.
- Perform load and performance testing, monitor production health, troubleshoot distributed systems, and improve reliability and scalability.
- Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams in Agile/Kanban delivery environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive software engineering experience building, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-based applications.
- Hands-on proficiency with Java and the Spring and Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Experience developing backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs on Google Cloud Platform or comparable platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architecture, message brokers, API security, authentication, authorization, JSON, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development, automated testing, code coverage, Clean Code practices, Git-based version control, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Experience supporting critical, high-availability applications and diagnosing distributed-system issues in production.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, containerization, canary and blue-green deployments, feature flags, API gateway management, Dynatrace, Grafana, and customer-facing automotive or connected-vehicle platforms.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; a related master’s degree is preferred.
