Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot software features, services, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Ensure software and services are highly available, scalable, secure, maintainable, and well tested.
- Monitor and evaluate platforms, identify issues, recommend improvements, and support production systems through on-call rotations.
- Integrate internal and external services and APIs to facilitate data exchange and interoperability.
- Automate routine tasks, improve software performance, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
- Write unit and integration test automation, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with platform and services teams, provide technical support, document software designs and operations, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least two years of experience in application development and support environments using multiple technologies and design techniques.
- Experience with at least one of C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript and with building cross-platform software solutions.
- Knowledge of services, platforms, APIs, data structures, algorithms, systems design, software development lifecycle practices, testing, operations, and production monitoring.
- Experience building and scaling infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts including identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, containers, and serverless services.
- Knowledge of databases, data modeling, database design, and SQL.
- TypeScript and JavaScript experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is preferred.
- Ability to solve complex problems, work independently and collaboratively, communicate with technical and senior stakeholders, handle ambiguity, and adapt to new technologies.
